We are very pleased to congratulate Carolyn Haywood and Sean Hughes for both being recognised as this year’s Rising Stars in the 2023 Managing IP rankings.

Sean qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2019 and continues to provide excellent IP assistance to a range of clients, particularly those in the immunotherapy space.  By working closely with his clients, Sean is able to appreciate the “full picture” and therefore tailor his IP advice to the client’s commercial goals.

Sean is well-versed in all aspects of the life-cycle of a patent portfolio, including International patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate searches and licensing issues.

Carolyn qualified as a European patent attorney in 2021 and has an exceptional level of experience in multi-party EPO opposition proceedings.  Through this wealth of experience, Carolyn is well-placed in being able to advise on strategic matters of complex opposition and appeal proceedings.

Alongside our Rising Stars, founder George Schlich has also been recognised as a 2023 Patent Star, and Alex Bajjon and Mike Hutchins were named personally within our testimonials!

Schlich as a whole was commended for “attention to detail, knowledge of IP practice from around the world, their responsiveness and general friendliness”. You can read our full review here.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who submitted such kind words about our staff and services; at Schlich we strive to foster a kind and welcoming environment for our clients and associates as well as our staff, and your positive reviews go a long way to keeping our team’s morale high!
