We would like to congratulate Juliette Boynton in becoming our newest Associate here at Schlich! With this well-deserved promotion, Juliette joins our existing Associates: Andrew Clements and Alex Bajjon.

Juliette joined us in 2013 as a Chartered Patent Attorney and has a wide range of experience in drafting and prosecuting chemical, biochemical and mechanical device patents. In her specialist field of organic chemistry she represents our chemical and pharmaceutical clients in EPO Oppositions, and she is a key member of our CRISPR/Cas9 Oppositions group, with a propensity for added matter and priority/same invention analysis.

Alongside patent work, Juliette is also a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and heads our internal Trade Mark Team. Within this role she advises clients on a wide range of trade mark matters, from getting the most out of their trade marks to protecting their rights against infringers and opposing marks.

In 2021, Juliette was recommended by the IAM1000. About Juliette, the IAM1000 said: “[she] manages international portfolios with a sure hand and provides unerringly pragmatic advice. […] Her strategies are clear and robust; she can get up to speed on complex technologies quickly; and she navigates challenging examinations with finesse.”

Juliette’s progression to Associate is well-deserved; alongside her esteemed IP knowledge, her work ethic and supportive nature makes her an irreplaceable member of our team at Schlich.
