Founder, George Schlich (previously an equity partner in a large, London firm) set up a small start-up operation "Schlich" in Covent Garden, London with the support of his mother, Mrs Schlich (senior)

2006

Schlich moved to Crawley, near London Gatwick, with an expanded team of 4 attorneys

2007

Organic growth continued and the operation moved to Littlehampton on the South Coast of England

2013

St Catherine’s Road in Littlehampton becomes the new head office and work expands in the chemical, biotech, life sciences, pharmaceutical and mechanical sectors

2018

A landmark year for our work on genome engineering cases, including CRISPR, a technology that won the 2020 Nobel Prize

2021

Schlich hired its tenth patent attorney to grow to a team of more than 20 staff… and growing
