Road Safety Device
An elasticated, high-visibility band is stretched over the rear boot of a car, providing a highly-visible
X to alert other road users. The band is in the form of two connected loops or of one loop with two ties
for attachment to the car.

Pyropure
The "Pyropure" bin destroys waste by a combination of high temperature pyrolysis then controlled combustion,
reducing the waste to ash in the bin. The ash is flushed through a grid to trap recyclable material in the chamber. Pyrolysis
is carried out at a temperature of from 400-700°C and off-gases are dissolved in a solution in scrubber for disposal in
a water course. Water is introduced into the chamber as superheated steam via pipes so as both to flush away treated material
and clean the chamber. Recyclable waste is separated from non-recyclable, e.g. glass, metal. Apparatus is made as a modular,
free-standing unit and comprises plugs for connection to an electricity supply, to a water supply, and to a sewerage system
and has a chamber with a volume in the range 0.01-0.5m3.

Collapsible Bottle
A bottle is made of biodegradable material and has a plurality of collapsible pleats,
adjacent pleats having regions of weakness which are circumferentially staggered along a helical line, to promote
collapse of the bottle in a controlled and pre-determined way.

Ampoules
An ampoule made of plastics material, for liquid or suspension pharmaceuticals, has a reservoir
linked to a removable head by a channel in a neck portion. The channel has a trap, thus
located between its reservoir and the head, in the form of an elongated restriction and/or a bend to trap
liquid or suspension which may settle during storage, and to prevent either reaching the head.

Fixator Member
A mouldable fixator member for external fixing of bone fractures is made of thermoplastic, reinforced
with fibre, can be moulded at 6O°C, is set rigid at body temperature but can be reheated and remoulded. It is
used to fix a fracture in combination with clamps and transfixion pins.
