Cell Selection and Reporter System
A fusion protein has three domains, being an extracellular cell surface antigen or a fluorescent
protein for sorting uses, an enzyme that enables staining of cells in tissues or tissue sections and an
enzyme, such as antibiotic resistance, which protects cells from the effects of a toxic factor in culture
medium. The fusion is used for purification and sorting of cells expressing the fusion under control of a
cell or tissue-specific promoter and subsequent tracking and analysis of cells post transplantation.
