Mike has a PhD in organic chemistry and trained as a patent attorney whilst working in-house in the pharmaceutical industry before entering private practice in 1989. He was a partner with another firm for eight years before setting up his own practice M.R. Hutchins & Co in 2001. In 2011, M.R. Hutchins & Co joined forces with Schlich & Co to form Schlich LLP.
Mike's specialist areas of practice are pharmaceuticals and general chemicals and he has over twenty five years experience in handling inventions for small, medium and large pharmaceutical companies and drug discovery companies relating to all aspects of pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals.
